Here's that other view.

I guess the other angle doesn't do much better. Based on what I can see I guess Ithaca 37 fits the bill best.

What do you think this is.

Gunmaster45 07-29-2009 09:56 PM

Spectre M4. It's used by lots of characters throughout the movie. There's an excellent shot of one during the "Ring Trick" scene that I'll have to add.

AdAstra2009 07-29-2009 10:45 PM

Are you sure?
It has no forward grip and looks sort of small for a Spectre.

Yournamehere 07-29-2009 11:16 PM

He's right, I'd opt for the Skorpion before a Spectre M4, but I still don't have a positive ID on it.

Gunmaster45 07-29-2009 11:49 PM

Giving a second look, I'm considering Skorpion myself.

I think it may be this gun.

Doing caps for Miami Vice. What carbine is this? Thanks.

Also this shot, the barrel length got way shorter. Could just be the camera view.

It has a 14.5" barrel. That's about all we know. I would need to see the right side of the receiver to be sure. Also, remember that many of the M16 variants in movies/TV shows are Franken-guns that don't have a model number because they don't exist in Colt's catalog.

predator20 08-03-2009 11:34 PM

I can view that scene again, but I don't think it ever really showed the right side.

MT2008 08-10-2009 12:41 AM

Can anybody help me with this rifle:

http://www.imfdb.org/images/8/8a/RG-rifle-4.jpg

It's from "Reindeer Games" (that's Gary Sinise firing it). It's some type of semi-auto, that's all I know. I thought it might be a Browning BAR of some kind, but I doubt it now.

Actually, on second thought I think it's a 7400, from the plastic rear sight.

Yeah, the whole 740/742/7400/750 series all look pretty much the same.

Gunmaster45 08-10-2009 09:16 AM

I agree. I haven't been on the computer in two days because I've been out doing OTHER THINGS with friends for the first time all summer, so I missed the chance. Damn. :D

AdAstra2009 08-16-2009 10:43 PM

Anyone at all?

Gunmaster45 08-17-2009 06:50 AM

I've actually been working on adding those shots (I've supered up the quality, just look):

http://i25.tinypic.com/slmx4x.jpg
http://i32.tinypic.com/2pq2lq0.jpg
http://i29.tinypic.com/qxqe8i.jpg
http://i26.tinypic.com/313nfpx.jpg

The four guns are one comp Beretta, the Ruger SP101, the Beretta Inox, and a custom S&W Model 41. The gun's Willi One Blood sets on the table are the SP101, the paintball 1911-A1, and the 1911A2 MASS (it looks like he sets down four guns, but one is just the box of .357 ammo).

Have no fear, though, I'm only replacing important shots, but I won't be redoing the whole page or anything.

Gunmaster45 08-17-2009 06:53 AM

BTW, I thought I should point this out.

On the page it says the compensator/suppressor combo doesn't work. If you look at the suppressor, it has an extened thread that goes past the compensator ports to allow the suppressor to work.

This shot actually proves it:

http://i31.tinypic.com/9lh006.jpg

You can see the muzzle flash coming out of only the front, not the comp cuts. Then again, we shouldn't be able to see the muzzle flash at all.

Sorry I've taken so long to get this done. I've cracked down to finish this tonight.

Excalibur 08-17-2009 03:53 PM

Why isn't the muzzle flash coming out of the compensator?

AdAstra2009 08-17-2009 04:10 PM

http://www.imfdb.org/images/thumb/7/...px-Leon103.jpg
you sure it's a SP101, I've never seen one with a squared off trigger guard.

It's not squared off, it's just at a weird angle. Here's a clearer shot of the image:

http://i30.tinypic.com/2e58mlf.jpg

Not to mention, it's her gun, so of course she'd bring it along.

The suppressor threads are extra long. When he threads it on, it threads all the way though the compensator and blocks the ports, so the gasses can't escape out them. That's how the suppressor cancels the comp.

MT2008 08-18-2009 03:14 AM

Has anyone yet managed to figure out what kind of submachine gun this is:

http://www.imfdb.org/images/6/6f/Clownrobbers2.jpg

I've seen it in a couple of TV shows filmed in Canada. This is from "Smallville", but I've also seen it in "Viper". I dunno what type of SMG it might be, but it seems to feed from Uzi mags and has an FN FAL-style pistol grip, plus it's an open-bolt design. Something built (mostly) from scratch by a good gunsmith, or a real gun?

Vangelis 08-18-2009 03:53 AM

Looking at the trigger area in that shot makes me think TEC-9 or some imitation thereof, presumably after losing a fight with a metal press.

But then I saw this: http://www.bookrags.com/wiki/Floro_MK-9

Almost looks like an Arcus to me.

I don't think so. The pistol grip does look similar, and it takes Uzi-style mags, but everything else is off, starting with the fact that the mag release on the mystery SMG is located on the back, not the side, of the mag well. Plus, the gun in "Smallville" is clearly an open-bolt design with the bolt located on top of the receiver.

I found a Brazilian subgun which has a similar-looking magwell, which is called the BSM/9 M3. Here's a picture of it:

http://www.imfdb.org/images/2/28/Scr...._16_00.32.jpg

I don't think this is necessarily the same gun, but it might just be the basis of the Cylon SMG seen in "Battlestar Galactica" and also the same episode of "Smallville":

It could also be one of the many blank firing only guns made in the 90's, and now made by Voltran/Ekol that resemble the brownings but ain't quite exactly perfect.

This one maybe?

Negative, it's a Smith & Wesson Model 910. You can tell by the way the front of the slide is cut, as well as the new cutout of the frame.
