Side Mount?...Scout rifles arent side mounted...you use your scope and if it breaks you take it off...and then use the open sights...no side mounts. The scope is like using a trijicon acog. You have a big field of view and still able to shoot with both eyes open. Its a quicke action close range rifle. nothing pre measured about it at the range.
