I dont really talk religion with anyone. If people want to believe one thing, im cool with it. I just hate people who try to shove their beliefs on you. I never make fun of anyone for their religion and respect their beliefs as long as they respect mine. I jst want nothing to do with the church.

One of my buddies is real pushy about his religion. Every Sunday he's like "dude, why don't you come to church with me" and every time I take him up on his offer I get really uncomfortable during the service. Probably because I'm not Protestant like him (church is a time for prayer and somberness, not electric guitars and over-enthusiasm to the point of creepiness)

I started getting up at 8 everyday and am always asleep by midnight. Except saturday, i stay up till 130 and watch snl. Then sleep till 10 on sunday. And take a melatonin at night to get back to bed since ive screwed my sleep cycle..

I (try but usually fail to) go to sleep at 10-11 and wake up at 5:30 every weekday but on weekends I usually go to sleep at 3 (AM!) and wake up at 8 AM

if i work out and get energy out during the day its easier to fall asleep.

I am a non-practicing Catholic turned atheist. I was baptized but never confirmed, but I did used to attend Mass sometimes with my grandparents, who are very Catholic.

As for abortion, I am pro-choice generally (aside from last trimester). I especially don't like the idea of the government institutionalizing the idea that fetuses are really human, which is an idea that is almost universally rejected by anyone who has studied human development.

But the thing I don't like about abortion is that most of the women getting abortions are these middle- and upper-class feminist types who say "I'm not ready" to be a parent. Or they just don't want to deal with the stretch marks from child birth. Whereas the people who don't get abortions are mostly from the bottom of the gene pool - hillbillies, ghetto dwellers, Islamic immigrants, etc. In other words, people who really should not be breeding because they're only producing more mouths for our overburdened social security system to feed (not to mention, criminals and terrorists). I worry that this is going to lead to a demographic crash in the long run, where the scum and the leeches will out-breed the productive and intelligent. Europe already seems to be headed in this direction, and I don't want America to go the same way.

(And before anyone accuses me of being "racist", this has nothing to do with ethnicity - just behavior and ideas. There are plenty of people who are white that fall under my definition of "bottom of the gene pool".)

I'm a Roman Catholic who's strong in his beliefs and hates Christian rights. I don't support abortion since I consider fetuses to be human beings. I also hate the country of Saudi Arabia since you can't practice your own religion, women have virtually no rights, homosexuality and drunkeness are considered capital crimes. I also hate those idiotic liberals (I am a sensible liberal) who say that America is an imperial nation.

Sunday to me is to go to church, eat a Sausage Egg McMuffin with cheese, and watch some television.

I can tell you right now that this is just not true, at least scientifically. I can't remember the best articles on it, but there aren't very many human development specialists who would agree with this. And I tend to trust scientists far more than the Bible.

No argument from me there. Saudi Arabia is one of the worst places in the world. Actually, all of the Arab world can disappear for all I care, but Saudi Arabia especially.

As for us being an "imperial" nation, I'd concede that it's true. I just tend to think that our form of "imperialism" isn't really evil, and WOULD benefit most of the world if unchecked. But alas, since all we get is grief, I say screw it.

Hell, we're not democratic, we're a republic.

It seems every girl ive known whos gotten an abortion is a irresponsible slut. Sorry, its how i see it. About half of them have gotten multiple abortions. They just dont learn. Ive also known them to get hammered and abuse drugs several days a week. They fall back on abortion as a fail safe in case pull and pray fails. heard one telling her friends shes late but doesnt care since she can get an abortion again.

I do understand where you're coming from...in California, liberal insanity isn't just creating ridiculous new gun laws, it's hurting the armorers' businesses. But I do think you should keep in mind that being a liberal and being anti-gun are, contrary to popular belief, two different things.

Also, has anyone ever seen Democratic Underground? I'm not a member there (or a regular reader), but on another forum I visit, somebody pointed out that if you ever do read DU, you'll actually see quite a few members who talk about what guns they own. In fact, there have been some pretty vicious debates on that site between the gun-owning Democrats and the anti-gun Democrats.

Oh, I know the difference. But we are in the wonderful fairyland of CALIFORNIA! ;) But I know a lot of armorers and their immediate reaction would be pretty negative, being that I have not run into one yet who was a liberal. :D It's a combination of anti gun and generally disagreeing with them on most other issues.

All I'm saying is, if there's a schism between anti-gun Democrats and those with no interest in gun control, it's in your interest to encourage it. It's always useful to recognize potential allies.

I mean, let's face it...you're a conservative pro-gunner working in an industry that is pretty much dominated by anti-gunners, limousine liberals, and guilt-complex Greens (my least favorite type of liberal, BTW). Yeah, I know those types. They think that just because they spouted out a kid, they have the right to determine what's right and wrong, what's moral and immoral, and what you should and shouldn't do. They call it "moral concession", which translates out to (at least in my view) "you should do what I say is right". :rolleyes:

And then they talk about how they are environmentalists, all while driving gas guzzlers (rarely with anybody riding with them). I pity them because by sheltering their "precious baby" they ensure that they turn out to either be the kid who goes to prison by their early 20's or the kid that never moves out of his parent's basement

Think of the armorers as Jewish laborers in Auschwitz who are disciplined enough NOT to mouth off to the guards....... That's the tolerance you speak of ;) It's a tolerance of necessity. That forced tolerance goes out the window when one's job is NOT on the line. :)

Maybe it's a little insensitive, but if he had said, "Soviet laborers in the Gulag", would you have said anything? Or would that be disrespectful to the millions of people who died in the Gulags*? And would you have demanded an apology on their behalf?
