k9870 01-25-2010 02:14 PM

Shooting james, I believe thats the kel tec .22 amgnum, not an fn. Taurus also introduced the 454 raging judge, and tactical judge

I own one, but wouldn't exactly call myself a Desert Eagle lover. ShootingJames was also winking.

The compensator / muzzle brake is a good idea especially in the .50 AE, you can send your barrel to them and have it done. But it's not available for the Mark I and VII models. I think porting would be better though since the gun is already pretty long. I think all the rail notches ugly.

Excalibur 01-26-2010 03:59 PM

I'm not really a Desert Eagle fan either, but that compensator. If it makes the Desert Eagle easier to shoot, I'll give it a try.,

Spartan198 01-28-2010 12:56 PM

No, it's locking spammers like you up and saving them to use as bait when Z Day comes.

The fugly pistol k9870 was talking about is called the Kel-Tec PMR 30 chambered for .22 Magnum. I think it's funny looking like all of Kel-Tec's guns, but the shocking thing is that the gun was built as a direct competitor to the Five-seveN. .22 Mag is somewhat ballistically similar, but not really. Add the looks in and it doesn't really compete until you check the 30 ROUND MAGAZINE. That's right, 30 rounds of .22 Mag in a handgun. Yeah it's .22 Magnum which isn't a fantastic round, but you have 30 rounds of it! I hear they are coming out with a .22 LR version for all the caliber conservative people too. Depsite it being ugly, I wouldn't mind having a 30 round handgun.

S&Wshooter 01-28-2010 09:13 PM

I think it would be perfect to put in a boat's SHTF bag or something to keep in your car for emergencies

k9870 01-28-2010 10:05 PM

A 30 rond 22 lr would be a good plinker seeing most .22s are limited to 10. too bad kel tec isnt that great in quality.

ShootingJames 02-24-2010 06:56 PM

Thank you YNIH. I appreciate the ID. I'm not a fan of kel-tec guns so I had to look this one up.

http://www.kel-tec-cnc.com/pmr30.htm

It looks like a cheap airsoft gun from the side with all the screw heads showing.

Then I'm looking at it thinking "Where is the slide?" It's such a low profile it would feel like you are firing the frame all by itself. ;)

A friend of mine bought the PLR 22 and shot it twice and then sold it and bought another browning buckmark. He's a varmint hunter though and he digs his 22's. He own 5 ruger 10/22's in different forms.

A few more pics I found from SHOT while web surfing today.

Sem-Auto shotgun that utalizes rotating tube magazine was brilliant idea. I wonder what happened to that design since then.

I believe they wil come out with "Golden-Plated M1911 and AR-15" this time :)"

Oh wait.....
