Well done. Actually, the gun was 9 mm for the army/air force/navy and 45 acp for the police forces. All Halcon smgs are similar since the model 1946, with the steel wire retractable buttstock, and the only difference is the cardtrige. You´re next.

Zulu Two Six 01-17-2010 02:06 AM

Try with imageshack or attaching the pic to the forum, not hotlinking to the original page :D.

Zulu Two Six 01-17-2010 10:35 PM

what? english please.
and an explanation of how you found it would be nice

ManiacallyChallenged 01-18-2010 05:12 AM

Zulu:
Imageshack: Image hosting where you upload pictures.

Attaching: see the "Manage Attachments" button in "Additional options"

Hotlinking: when somebody uses some picture from another forum/page using bbcode [img][/img]. In this case, you used some spanish police page, but you don´t renamed the archive, so it was easy to find the source of the picture.

ManiacallyChallenged: Hint, is from Europe and is 9x19.

Zulu Two Six 01-18-2010 03:45 PM

oh! you just clicked on the edit button.

It's a Furrer MP-41/44. Swiss toggle action SMG. Never a big success. Nice one with the Schouboe by the way.

Zulu Two Six 01-18-2010 05:29 PM

its some kind of .22lr target pistol

S&Wshooter 01-18-2010 07:17 PM

Is it one of those target pistols designed by a blind Russian man?

Zulu Two Six 01-19-2010 03:28 AM

can we have a hint nyles?
the caliber is probrably .22
so can you give us where it was made or would that be a giveaway?

ManiacallyChallenged 01-19-2010 05:05 AM

Dang, that looks a LOT like a Nambu, but trawling through the online Nambu-repository yields nothing.

Could it be a Nambu prototype? From the 7 or 8mm versions?

Nyles 01-19-2010 07:26 AM

It's not a .22, and it's not a Nambu. I will tell you that it was made in Europe (like most of my favorite guns).

As an aside, if you mean Nambu World, I actually bought mine from the woman who owns that site.

Markost 01-19-2010 02:10 PM

Looks like a pre-1900 semiauto. Belgian or french?

Zulu Two Six 01-20-2010 03:40 AM

can we have another hint?
im having a hard time with this one.

Nyles 01-20-2010 06:58 PM

Last hint is that it's a 7.65mm.

k9870 01-21-2010 03:20 AM

my searches pulled up nothing......is this 7.65 x21 or .32 acp, or other?

Nyles 01-22-2010 07:34 AM

Alright, I'm officially calling this one. It's a Schwarzlose 1898 in 7.65 x 25mm Borchardt. Never a big success because it had to compete with the Mauser C/96. Most important part of history was 1000 sold to Socialist revolutionaries at Russia in 1905. The shipment was intercepted and they were issued to Russian border police.

Let's try another, shall we?

k9870 01-22-2010 06:00 PM

a lot of glare around the trigger gard, is that a second iece of metal in front of trigegr or a shadow?

Nyles 01-22-2010 06:51 PM

It's another piece of metal.

Zulu Two Six 01-22-2010 10:26 PM

yeah....the trigger does have an awful lot of glare. but! it shall be identified.
its an ugly lil' bastard

Nyles 01-24-2010 05:43 PM

Ugly? Sure. But not little, not at all.

S&Wshooter 01-24-2010 07:28 PM

It looks very awkward

ManiacallyChallenged 01-24-2010 10:09 PM

Perhaps an Iver Johnson break action revolver?
