He is in the air forces military police/base defense AFSC. I guess the air force calls them counter snipers instead of just snipers. |
Wow it seems like since jamie won the challenge george is acting all stand up with "we should vote based on performance." HAAHA. Wow and ashley came off as a major dick, he seemd quiet and professional at first then this epiode completely changed. I love when george blamed the fal for sucking making him do bad, not his marksmanship skills or anything....

According to George, he "failboated" on the FAL. |
It was funny how brian pressed the takedown lever.....twice. And opened it right up. Was it chris who just went rapid fire and sprayed away? The FAL was giving a lot of trouble to people, it was strange.
|
Yeah I guess he had it confused with the safety.
Chris' shooting reminds me of that guy from the first season who took 40 shoots from a mosin to hit a 50 yard target. |
Top shot is now accepting applications for season 4, and apparently they got everyone for 3 and are ramping up production.
|
I heard that there is going to be a sneak peak at season 3 after the last episode.

I thought a crossbow challenge like in season one would also be good. |
Well, ill go make a list of what i want to see. They have diferent ytpes in diferent epiodes...ill be back.
|
I have a challenge idea. remember last season where they could call gun, stance, shot? that, with a mystery box. any gun from season, you dont know what you get.
|
That would be awesome. Hopefully someone like George would get stuck with a gun that he sucks at like the FAL.
|
Now i have nobody to root for. I guess ill just hope george goes down first. I thought I liked joe but his comment on "ill just vote for you cause your jamie" comment made me think otherwise.
Colby said the glcok was the first polymer semiauto 9mm, guess nobody told him bout the vp70. |
Hopefully george will have to make his own challenge like last season and completely make a fool of himself when he cant complete it like JJ did.
they should have done the shotgun challenge earlier in the season, i wanted to see kyle dominate it. |
Or have it a main challenge not a 1 on 1 elimination, team or even indvidual with everybody.
|
I just found out that next week after the last episode, their will be a behind the scenes thing where all the contestants will be together and talk about everything. Im going to watch that to see if George was really a douche and not just the tv guys editing it to seem that way.
|
I think we all know hes a douche. All the creative editing in the world couldnt make a cool guy seem that douche like. Howeer apparently ashley and jamie are friendly to each other and the show over exaggerated ashleys one outburst.
Heard earlier apparently brian zinns is dating the emale competitor from season 1. |
but still, not shaking jamies hand was really a dick move
|
true. I your interested, gun nts radio has an interview with amie up, caleb from season 1 does the interviews.
|
Thanks it is interesting to see how the contestants actually feel about the eachother.
If i remember correctly,Caleb was or used to be in the coast guard. |
He was thats why i rooted for him:cool:
|
Finale tomorrow, saw fals in preview, i hope george "failboats" at that and goes home.

Sweet finale, george surprised the shit out of me. The competitors for season 3 was announced. Apparenly brian zins is making a line of ammo, jay is strying to become a nra pistol instructor even though he uses the teacup hollywood weaver, and Jamies in aphganistan.....weird place for a rescue swimmer.
|
Oddly, I thought George wasnt as douchy this episode, What the hell happened? Why did he intentionally "failboat?"
|
cant tell if he failed revolver or not, but he definitely failboated the sharps. The revovler he may have pulled to tie up with chris. I have no idea where his sudden sense of honor came from seeing hes been a raging douche so long.
|
Just finished watching behind the bullet, The season 3 contestants just dont seem as interesting as the season 2 contestants but that is probably just because i dont know much about them. There also seems to be less military competitors too.
The weapons appear to be more diverse, a longbow, S&W .500, AK, and a Mauser Broomhandle. |
Sorry for the double post but i cant help but think who would have won if their were no teams and there were no "secret pacts" and it was based on skill alone.
I hope a future season could have a round robin tournament and the top shot would actually be the best shooter instead of the one with the most friends. |

I found this on another blog and thought it was funny
http://i51.tinypic.com/2evu6hi.jpg |
The runner up of season 1 shot himself in the leg when his serpa jammed and he was pressing too hard to get it out (downfall of the crappy serpa holster). Of course shooter error there as you should know not to do that. Weird though he put a bullet in his leg. Of course, the whole department he worked for banned serpas.
|
Do you have a link to where ever you saw this?
|
First heard it on a forum and linked to news sites, ill look.
Mr. Cerino apparently commented "At least i shot myself with a loaded gun, most people are shooting themselves with empty guns." |
I don't think the SERPA is a crappy holster, but I think anything that goes into the trigger guard of a gun, especially with a gun that has no manual safety and a light trigger weight is a deadly combination. But hey, it's the evolution of tacticool.
Edit: the SERPA didn't discharge the gun like I thought, he did the textbook "press the button too hard and KABOOM" deal. The point still stands that mixing a holster design which requires the trigger finger with a gun design that has a free, light trigger with no safety devices, coupled with a lack of training by the shooter on the aforementioned holster design, is not a good combination for oneself and others around them. |
