There are no copyrights on the 1911. The patent for the design ended years ago, which is why there are so many clones. The design became free to everyone when it expired. As annoying as it is, they have fullrights to make their own 1911.

I hate the new trend of big billboarded logos on 1911, especially something stupid like "desert eagle."
