Arnold started hitting it big when I was a junior in high school (Terminator 1984) so he was right at the tail end of my growing up years. First Blood came out my freshman year in High School, but I saw Nighthawks when I was in 7th grade in the spring of 1981 so he counts.

For me, I would say my biggest action heroes were at least half the cast of "Aliens", including Michael Biehn, Sigourney Weaver, and Bill Paxton. (Yeah, his most infamous line may have been the cowardly "Game over!" bullshit, but you gotta give him credit for putting on his game face against the last alien invasion - so moto!)
