Stay focused, don't hijack the topic just to make jokes.

And Burt, what have you been on lately? Last couple posts of yours I've seen have been...bizarre.

The idiocy in the zombie thread is grinding down my sanity.

My vote: theater released shorts with production values get pages, student films made with airsoft guns do not, seems fair to me.

I just saw a recent short with good quality production

I fail to see democracy being advantageous on IMFDB....

Eliciting comments from the membership allows people to give coherent and interesting counterpoints. Well at least that's the way it's supposed to work. If everyone seems to be in agreement, then we or I or whoever, can go ahead and be proactive, aware that we gave others the chance to give their input.

Personally I feel better when people give their opinions. It clarifies one's position and strengthens it. If someone comes up with a good and compelling counter argument then it gives us the chance to do some deep consideration before acting.

But you're right. Complete democracy doesn't work on a site like this. If we some day get bombarded with 12 year olds, they STILL cannot take over the site via 'tyranny of the majority'. We still have the 'old guard' to keep them at bay :D

And it isn't like the 12 year olds can actually mod the site

It was funny. I was busting up. Sure it's cool for a fan film. Great camera they used. Mediocre cinematography (sometimes good, sometimes really average). BAD ACTING. Bad sound sometimes.

I wonder about what kind of dork immediately claims protection under the 1st amendment. 1st amendment doesn't cover copyright infringement (though he is doing obvious satire so he is okay ... but I can't open my own chain of chicken restaurants and scream 1st amendment! if I want to name it "KFC") This guy and can't even spell AMENDMENT right.

Hey man, don't step on his first amendment rights to misspell things.

It's more of a joke and the acting was supposed to be bad cause it's a parody. But I just want to show that a fan film can be good.
