I personally advise against a Compact .40. Even full size guns kick a bit, and compacts with defense loads, you're looking at some wild shooting. Stick with a 9.

A 69 series is a good choice if you can tolerate the weight and slight bulkiness, same with a Baby Eagle (did you guys know Charles Daly has one now?). Glock 19, no complaints if you're confident in the safe action system.

I see all of those Focus Combat concealed carry pros like Rob Pincus carrying Glock 19s, so I guess that would be the ideal selection. I shot one once but it was a night so accuracy was kind of pointless. I thought it fit the hand nice and shot well. The good thing about a wide grip is a larger magazine well, meaning you can insert a magazine easier and faster. Practice those tactical reloads!

I hate glocks, but if you like it they are reliable. I just never could grip it confortably, or get over the weird trigger and the fact they slap in poor factory barrels.

Oh man, I wish I could buy that. I love the 4506.
Good luck selling it well.

No bids so far.

I still haven't gotten to talk to my dad about it, but I seriously would be interested in buying this gun. I'll try to convince him with every ounce of annoyance I posses. Wish me luck...:D

Usually the kids beg for icecream or car keys.
GM begs for a Smith and Wesson.

I'd buy it, but even at my location and the promise of meeting half way...still a long travel time for a gun that costs up to $500

What im wondering, If I go to the academy when I'm 20, which is how old ill be when I graduate school, and become an officer, am I still restricted from buying a pistol? It would be rediculous to not be able to buy a off-duty carry (try CCing a 4506 lol)

Excalibur 05-12-2009 03:20 AM

Most cops do have off duty pistols and then some. I know one with an XD-9 subcompact, a Mossberg 500, and a Judge plus some kind of Ruger with a 6+1 shot mag that fires .380s

Anyway, I really want to get this gun, but I remember I am broke. So unless he takes long installments, there's no way i'm getting this before someone nabs it first
