So, in reading last month's American Rifleman, I read the story about the Colt Machine Guns the Rough Riders took to Cuba. One of which was purchases for a Trooper by his sister.

I showed the article to my sister and she said "Well, I bet he didn't get a cooler with the Colt pony on it."

Side note: She's moving out in six days! I get my gun room back. Just gonna repaint the walls.

It kinda was. My sister is four years older than me, so when she went off to college for her under-grad, her room, it was a very pleasent shade of blue then, became both my overflow storage room and my reloading workshop. And then it became my library.

Well, fast foward four years and I go off to college, but being the youngest, still sorta get to keep her room as my gun room. She completes her masters work and then decides to move home to work on her doctorate.

Which results in me having to relocate my reloading operation to the basement.

But thankfully, she got engaged, and she and her fiance are buying a house, so BAM! gun room back. Atleast for the next six months or so.

I just found out that one of my NSIs from high school JROTC died in December.

I thought Chief would live forever.
