Doesn't really bother me, it's just kind of funny.

It is listed as a Springfield, so maybe it's just the programmer assuming more people have heard of the M14 rather than the M1A.

Spartan198 06-29-2011 11:56 PM

I'm going by the rifle itself, which is an M1A due to lacking any sign of a fire selector on the stock. What the listed manufacturer is is kind of irrelevant.

Rockwolf66 06-30-2011 12:26 AM

the MK14 is a great add but does anyone know of some good additions for the AK series rifles as I'm mocking up an RPK but it looks like crap.

Spartan198 06-30-2011 01:15 AM

Another point about the M14 is that the EBR lower receiver, unlike the M14 stock, does have a selector switch cut out. ;)

As you probably know by now, I'm an AR-15 guy. So while I do like the AK, I tend not to make many in PMG and so haven't paid much attention to any custom AK stuff made. Sorry about that, Rock. :(

However a search did bring up this "remake" of the AKS/AKMS underfolding stock that can actually be folded under the weapon (which the default stock can't be).

Pastie is in the comments below it. You'll have to do some resizing to make it fit, though. Some people have an oh-so-generous habit of increasing the size of custom parts to "Godzilla" level.

Spartan198 07-16-2011 11:35 PM

I haven't any idea when exactly it'll come, but Doc has revealed that the v0.7.0.6 update will include the FN Minimi, M249, Mark 46, and Mark 48 machine guns. :)

Spartan198 08-05-2011 12:47 AM

Okay, anyone who takes any kind or amount of pride in anything they make in PMG needs to look at this.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/katuteev/6008970362/

And yes, it's legit. I imported the code into PMG to see for myself.

Excalibur 08-05-2011 01:40 AM

Can't seem to find the code. Where is it?

Spartan198 08-23-2011 04:08 PM

Indeed. And I'm glad to see the cloth ammo pouch (known affectionately by Soldiers and Marines as a "nutsack" :D ) will make it in along with the plastic box. I wasn't expecting it to.

Here's my attempt at making a UKSF-spec C8CQB.

Few things missing, namely the stock pad, the correct pistol grip and the flashlight being the wrong sort of SF light (needs to be a Scout not a 6P).

Also included is my attempt at an L129A1, which is currently impossible since there's no LMT uppers included.

Tsk tsk tsk, you just gotta know where to look.

And before anyone says it, I realize I put the M249 heatshield too far back on the Mark 46 Mod 1 I posted above. But since I was just fooling around with that attempt, I don't give a crap. :p

The Wierd It 09-18-2011 01:01 PM

True, but that's a 5.56. This needs a 7.62.

Also, I made a slightly better one. Still a few teething troubles aside from the upper receiver; namely the lack of 20LR PMAGs (although they are on the same stream as that MRP you linked, I didn't have the code when I did it) and Surefire flash hiders (The real steel L129 is issued fitted with one of these).

Rockwolf66 07-29-2012 11:54 PM

I know the program needs an update and no one has posted anything cool larely so.

Spartan198 07-30-2012 05:40 PM

Not bad, Rock.

Rockwolf66 07-30-2012 11:35 PM

Thanks I'm also working on how to do camoflage guns.

Rockwolf66 07-31-2012 10:52 PM

And here are two more guns.

A Tiger Pattern SVU like as found on the Dragunov page.

And the M16 .45 that is Appearing in my Stories.

Rockwolf66 08-12-2012 07:38 AM

Well I have a character in a role playing game I'm in and they carry the following AK-Type assault rifle.

http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z...Trouble_AK.jpg

I didn't add anything to it just yet but I would hate to be on the reciving end of it.

Spartan198 08-21-2012 08:45 PM

Thought some of you might be interested in playing around with this SP1 receiver.

Rockwolf66 08-21-2012 11:03 PM

Cool,
Unfortunatly I'm not finding any really good AK stuff that works for me then again I might be doing something wrong.

Me either. I've been on an AK rush myself lately.

Here's what I've found that I use the most:
AR stock adapter, QD top rail, and rail foregrip

Battle-worn 7.62x39mm magazine

AIMS handguard

Not sure if all the tactical stuff will strike you since not everyone likes modernized AKs, but these are the parts I use the most.

Rockwolf66 08-22-2012 11:02 PM

Thanks Spartan.

What do you all think of the Updated AKMSU?

The Wierd It 08-24-2012 01:27 PM

Does that AR15 have enough room for the bolt to travel?

Evil Tim 08-24-2012 02:00 PM

Also that's a really bad place to put the mag release on a bullpup since it means you'll have to take your right hand off the grip to press it rather than reloading with your left.

In fact, better question: How is the bolt actuated in the first place? Since there doesn't seem to be a charging handle of any sort.

I'm not really sure myself but the rifle does look like an M16 M17 Hybrid. Unfortunatly I haven't spent any real Quality time with the Bushmaster M17.

Could (and should) be on the left-hand side of the foregrip like the TAR-21 and AUG, in which case you wouldn't be able to see it unless it stuck up diagonally. Though that would make the right-hand-side mag release even worse.

If you put in a magazine it'll do more than just click. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...mot-eng101.gif

I do most of my builds without mags to give them a "gun rack" look.

You forgot to take the original handguard off before you added the RIS.
