I've been here for a while, I just don't use the forums. Boredom beat me today.

527 got it. Blink and you miss it.

k9870 02-11-2011 01:14 PM

the boberg looks like crap when i researched it, a diagram showed what looked like a claw grabbing bullets and chambering them.

ersoz 02-11-2011 11:58 PM

Mr Junkie.
You're next...

Yep, alright your turn.

funkychinaman 02-12-2011 05:28 PM

Can I submit a gun that's unknown even to me? For weeks, I've been scouring the web trying to ID a gun on IMFDB that's listed as unknown. I'm sure with all of you guys going at once, it can be done in a day or two.

I'd much prefer it if you'd create a new thread for the weapon in question. Thank you.

funkychinaman 02-13-2011 03:00 AM

Well, it's the pistol in the picture below. You guys have proven to be quite good at this, why not improve the site at the same time?

http://www.imfdb.org/index.php/Image:TGB_2.jpg

If you don't want to do it, I'll let someone else take my turn, as I really can't think of anything that obscure.

k9870 02-13-2011 11:12 AM

rench modele 1935 7.65 longue?

k9870 02-13-2011 09:31 PM

Its with french guns and looks like it, so should i call it and post one?

ersoz 02-13-2011 10:49 PM

It also looks very much like a Llama Ruby. With a longer slide. Also it seems to be a hammerless pistol but it could be a pistol with its hammer missing.

Nyles 02-14-2011 03:50 AM

It's definately not a SACM M1935A. I'm guessing its one of any number of cheap pre-war Spanish .32s.

ersoz 02-14-2011 10:24 AM

A closer look.

I won't let my favourite thread die.
We can always get back to the unknown gun.

So here it is.
This one is American made.
6 shot revolver.
I can't give you the caliber.

This revolver was manufactured by a very important company many has never before heard of.

funkychinaman 02-17-2011 12:55 AM

Is that a real gun? I don't know if it's finish or the picture quality, but it looks like a fake gun.

ersoz 02-17-2011 01:01 AM

it is a real gun. trust me :)

Nyles 02-17-2011 05:43 AM

4th Model Merwin-Hulbert Frontier. Most commonly made in .44-40, but also in .44 Russian and .44 Merwin Hulbert, which very similar to the .44 American or .44 Remington rounds.

Little bit harder one this time.

k9870 02-18-2011 03:07 PM

single action?

Nyles 02-19-2011 06:16 AM

Yes. Takes centerfire cartridges.

ersoz 02-19-2011 09:36 PM

First I thought it might be a Webley constabulary. Then I thought "with Nyles, It wouldn't be that easy". So I started researching french revolvers. Et voila.

Kinda looks like a Perrin mais non!

C'est un Raphael Center Fire Revolver de 11 mm.

ersoz 02-19-2011 10:01 PM

Here's a weirdo...

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y45...s/obscure7.jpg

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y45...scure7hint.jpg

FIVETWOSEVEN 02-20-2011 02:14 AM

Actually its a Josselyn Revolver.
