If only I had a time machine and enough old timey money to buy both a rifle with a scope and a plane ticket to wherever Che hung out...

Then how the hell do I get that respect back? I have a lot of respect for you and don't want to picture you as "the guy who pisses me off the most when this forum debates politics". If it would make you happy I'll renounce all of my views and go athiest.

You're a Roman Catholic who supports an atheist-communist. Isn't that sort of a weird contradiction by itself?

As for getting my respect back, not exactly sure you need it. Like MPM, I'm in a field where I often have to work with people whose political views I don't respect, and in some cases detest. But anyway, maybe the lesson from this topic is that we should just not have polarizing political debates at all. :D

So we can still be friends, right? And by the way, I ignore the negativity that surrounds Che. I have respect for his philosophy. I was kinda depressed when you said you lost respect for me.

I can't help but wonder which liberals you all are talking about.
The kinds of people I find most detestable are the ones who care less about their beliefs, than about appearing to care about their beliefs.

Case in point, people who are ostensibly religious, or ostensibly political.

That's why I make a point of not pretending to care about things I don't care about!

ROD STEWART!!!!! (I do not care for him.)

OK, fine, yes we can still be friends. Maybe we just shouldn't talk about politics (or at least, not personal political views). :D

But I still despise Che, and I happen to think that Marxism in all of its incarnations is one of the most evil philosophies of all time (maybe even the most evil).

I do not care for Rod Stewart either. Joakim Broden of Sabaton (that fellow up front with the M4 in the picture ) would kill him with an axe

What about Facism?

Of course fascism is evil. But Marxism has a way bigger body count. The Soviet Union alone killed more people than all of the fascist regimes combined. So in terms of body count, I would say that socialism is the most evil ideology ever.

Facism the government controls people, socialist/communist regimes control people and convince them it the right thing, bringing many to their side.
